Overview

Structural Engineers, P. C. was formed in 1979 by Larry L. Olson to provide structural design services for Industry and other Design Professionals. Prior to 1979, Mr. Olson had worked for United States Steel as a construction Superintendent and had seven years design experience with other Architectural-Engineering firms. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering. He is a licensed Structural Engineer in Iowa as well as twenty-six additional states. In addition to Larry Olson there are six design professionals, including one holding licenses in twenty-two states. The firm also employs one engineering technician, one office manager and one bookkeeper.

Structural Engineers, P. C. provides design services for Industrial and Commercial Facilities, Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities and the Construction Industry. These projects have varied in scope and complexity from a simple beam design to an $82,000,000 industrial complex. We provide these services for clients throughout the United States.

Structural Engineers, P. C. uses state of the art computer systems for analysis, design, drafting and document preparation. An extensive engineering library, analysis and design software and on-line computerized research capabilities are maintained.

The personnel at Structural Engineers, P. C. are familiar with the building codes used throughout the United States. The Engineers are active members in several professional and technical organizations such as the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Consulting Engineers Council, American Concrete Institute and the National and State Council of Structural Engineers of America.
